Powerful GLP-1 therapies produce dramatic fat loss, but they do not selectively remove fat. Without a deliberate offset, roughly a quarter to 40% of the weight lost is lean tissue, muscle and other non-fat mass [1]. One honest qualifier: the two biggest levers for keeping muscle in a fat-loss phase are still resistance training and adequate protein.
