Testosterone (TRT)

On the NHS, testosterone is prescribed only when total testosterone is clearly low - broadly under 8 nmol/L, or under about 10.4 nmol/L if you’re also treated for erectile dysfunction - and gels or patches are favoured over injections. Prescriptions cost £9.90 per item in England, but an endocrinology referral can mean a 9–12 month wait. GLP-1 medications

NHS access runs through a Specialist Weight Management Service - typically BMI 35+ (or 30+ with a weight-related condition) - with multi-month waits and limited local capacity. Privately, Wegovy runs about £99–250/month and Mounjaro about £139–340/month; Eli Lilly raised Mounjaro’s UK list prices in late 2025, so the highest doses climbed sharply.

Peptides

Research peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500 are not licensed medicines in the UK and aren’t prescribed on the NHS or by mainstream private clinics. What’s sold online is unregulated “research only” material with no quality or sterility guarantee - firmly buyer-beware under the MHRA.
